What is Hangover?
A hangover is the result of your body’s reaction to alcohol. If you overindulge, your body will try its best to get rid of the alcohol that you consumed. It’s not just the pounding headache and queasy stomach that can make you feel like death after a night of drinking.
Alcohol can also leave you dehydrated, which is the primary cause of serious hangover symptoms. Alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that it causes your body to lose more water than it takes in. Koreans have been reportedly drinking pear juice for centuries as a hangover cure, which may explain why their rates of alcoholism are lower than in other countries.

- Sleep is the cure. While there’s no cure for a hangover, there are many things you can do to help your body recover more quickly. Try to get as much sleep as possible since sleep helps with dehydration and can help your body repair itself after a night of drinking.
